Welcome to AltTravel!

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “Customer”, or “User”) and AltTravel, a product of Alternative Bank Limited (“AltTravel”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”), a travel finance and booking platform that facilitates travel bookings and provides access to travel financing through partner financial institutions (each a “Financing Partner”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the AltTravel platform or services. By accessing, registering, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.  ABOUT ALTTRAVEL

AltTravel is a digital travel platform that enables Users to:

• book travel services including flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours, experiences, and
other travel-related services (“Travel Services”);

• Pay upfront (“Pay Now Booking”); or

• Access installment-based financing for Travel Services through Financing Partners
(“Financed Booking”).

AltTravel acts as a facilitator between Users, travel service providers (“Agents”), and Financing
Partners and does not itself operate airlines, hotels, or tour services. 

2. ELIGIBILITY

To use the Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old;

• Be legally capable of entering into binding contracts;

• Be resident in Nigeria;

• Own and operate a valid Nigerian bank account;

• If a corporate entity, be duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission;

• Meet the credit and eligibility criteria of AltTravel and/or its Financing Partners for financed bookings

3. ACCESS AND USE OF THE PLATFORM

a. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and 

use the Platform for personal and lawful purposes only.

b. Commercial use or resale of the Platform or its content without prior written consent of 

AltTravel is prohibited.

c. You agree not to:

• Interfere with Platform functionality;

• Access underlying source code;

• Introduce malware or harmful software;

• Infringe intellectual property rights.

Any breach may result in immediate suspension or termination of access to the Platform.

4. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

Certain features require account creation. You agree to: 

 • Provide accurate and complete information; 

 • Update information when necessary; 

 • Keep login credentials confidential. 

Account Security
You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account and safeguarding your login
credentials. You are responsible for losses arising from your own negligence (e.g., sharing
passwords), but AltTravel bears liability where losses result from platform security failures or
breaches on its side.
Please notify us immediately if you suspect a security breach.

5. BOOKINGS & CONTRACT FORMATION

a. Display of Travel Services constitutes an invitation to treat. 

b. You must include all travel information before submitting request 

c. A booking is confirmed only when AltTravel issues a confirmation by email
d. AltTravel reserves the right to reject or cancel any booking.
Limitation on Use
You agree to use the Platform for lawful purposes only. You are prohibited from any use of the
Platform that would constitute a violation of any applicable law, regulation, rules or regulation.
Any unauthorized use of the Platform, including but not limited to misuse of passwords, or misuse
of any information posted on the Platform is strictly prohibited.

6. PAY NOW BOOKINGS

For Pay Now Bookings:
• Full payment is required at the point of booking;
• Prices include only items expressly stated;
• Confirmation is subject to Supplier availability.

7. FINANCED BOOKINGS

a. Financed Bookings are subject to approval by a Financing Partner.
b. Subject to meeting the Financial Partner’s credit eligibility criteria, you will receive a
financing offer specifying:
• Amount financed;
• Repayment tenor;
• Installment amount;
• Fees and charges.
c. By accepting the offer, you authorize automatic debit of your account, provided during sign-
up, for repayments. All other documents to validate the debit mandate shall also be provided for
your execution.
d. AltTravel is not responsible for financing decisions made by Financing Partners.

8. REPAYMENT TERMS (FOR FINANCED BOOKINGS)

Repayments are made in installments as agreed;
• You authorize an automatic debit for repayments and may revoke the mandate upon full repayment or by
providing sufficient prior notice as specified.
• Late or missed payments may attract penalties;
• Two consecutive missed payments constitute default.
Upon default, outstanding balance becomes immediately due.

9. CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES & REFUNDS

a. Subject to Supplier fare rules and policies.
b. Some bookings may be non-refundable.
c. AltTravel service fees are non-refundable.

10. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for providing all documents that allows you to fully utilize the Service such
as but not limited to:
• alid passport;
• Visas;
• Bank Statements;
• BVN.
AltTravel bears no responsibility for denied boarding or entry.

11. TRAVEL INSURANCE 

Where offered, travel insurance is subject to insurer terms which shall be made available to the
User prior to subscription. AltTravel does not underwrite insurance policies.

12 TRAVEL AGENCY RESPONSIBILITY

Travel Services are provided by third-party Agents. AltTravel is not liable for acts, omissions, or
failures of Suppliers.

13. PRICE ACCURACY 

Errors may occur. AltTravel may cancel bookings arising from pricing errors. You would be
informed of changes to a fare due to an error and given the option to continue with the booking or
cancel the booking.

14. TERMINATION

AltTravel may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
Termination does not extinguish User’s outstanding payment obligations.

15. FORCE MAJEURE

AltTravel is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control including
acts of God, war, strikes, pandemics, or system failures.

16. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All Platform content, software and branding are the intellectual property of and belongs to
AltTravel or its licensors. Unauthorized use is prohibited. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or
commercially exploit any material without prior written consent.

17. DATA PROTECTION

You consent to the collection and use of your data for platform functionality, marketing
personalization, and service improvement. Data may be shared with verified third parties to fulfill
services.

18. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

By using the Platform, you consent to receiving service and promotional communications. You
may opt out at any time. You will receive a prompt asking you to unsubscribe from receiving
future communication, but this will not limit your use of the platform.

19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Customer shall be solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining adequate travel insurance
coverage prior to undertaking any trip booked through Altravel. Altravel shall not be liable for, and
expressly disclaims any responsibility for, any loss, damage, injury, delay, expense, accident, theft,
cancellation, medical emergency, force majeure event, or any other unforeseen circumstance or
eventuality that may arise before, during, or after the trip.
● The Customer acknowledges that travel insurance is strongly recommended and agrees that
failure to obtain such coverage shall be at the Customer’s own risk.
● We hereby exclude any express or implied warranties that any material used or downloaded
from the Platform will not cause loss or damage to any data or property, such as software or
hardware, including but not limited to loss or damage caused by malicious script, viruses or
spyware, We accept no liability for any such loss or damage suffered by you or another as a result
of your use of the Platform.
● You assume all responsibility and risk with respect to your use of the Platform. The services
are provided and available “as is,” and “as available”. You understand and agree that, to the fullest
extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, representations and endorsements, express or
implied, with regard to the Platform, including, without limitation, implied warranties of title,
merchantability, non-infringement and fitness for a particular purpose.
● We do not warrant use of the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free or that errors will
be detected or corrected. We do not assume any liability or responsibility for any computer viruses,
bugs, malicious code or other harmful components, delays, inaccuracies, errors or omissions, or
the accuracy, completeness, reliability or usefulness of the information disclosed or accessed
through the services.
● You acknowledge that third party services are available on the Platform. We may have
formed partnerships or alliances with some of these third parties from time to time in order to
facilitate the provision of the services to you. However, you acknowledge and agree that at no time
are we making any representation or warranty regarding any third party’s services, nor will we be
liable to you or any third party for any consequences or claims arising from or in connection with
such third party including, and not limited to, any liability or responsibility for, death, injury or
impairment experienced by you or any third party. You hereby disclaim and waive any rights and
claims you may have against us with respect to a third party’s services.
● We do not, in any way, endorse any information or service offered or described on the
Platform. In no event shall we be liable to you or any third party for any decision made, or action
taken in reliance on such information.
● In no event, under no legal or equitable theory (whether tort, contract, strict liability or
otherwise), shall we or any of our respective employees, directors, officers, agents or affiliates, be
liable hereunder or otherwise for any loss or damage of any kind, direct or indirect, in connection
with or arising from the use of the Platform / services or our agreement with you concerning the
services, including, but not limited to, (i) the use of or inability to use the Platform, the service, or
the content, (ii) any claim attributable to errors, omissions, or other inaccuracies in the Platform,
the service and/or the content (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or
data, or (iv) any other matter relating to the Platform, the service, or the content, and any
compensatory, direct, consequential, incidental, indirect, special or punitive damages, lost
anticipated profits, loss of goodwill, loss of data, business interruption, accuracy of results, or
computer failure or malfunction, even if we have been advised of or should have known of the
possibility of such damages.

20. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify AltTravel against losses arising from your breach of these Terms or
misuse of Services.

21. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

Electronic communications through email to satisfy legal writing requirements.

22. ASSIGNMENT

AltTravel may assign its rights and obligations but with prior consent
You will be notified of any assignment affecting your account or financing agreement, with reasonable advance
notice.
You would be provided the right to settle outstanding obligations or exit the agreement without penalty if they
object to the assignment
We will limit assignment of financed booking obligations to regulated financial institutions only

23. SEVERABILITY

If any of these Terms is judicially determined to be illegal, unenforceable, or invalid in whole or
in part for any reason, such illegal, unenforceable, or invalid provisions or part(s) of the same shall
be removed from these Terms, and such provision shall not affect the legality, enforceability, or
validity of the remaining Terms. The removed provision may be replaced, to the extent possible,
with a legal, enforceable, and valid provision that is as similar in term. Modifications to these
